HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The staff, management and volunteers at Southern Pines Animal Shelter are hoping you'll help them care for homeless pets by buying a new SPAS personalized car tag.

They have to pre-sell 300 before the state will produce them.

They hope to reach that goal by the summer so the tags will be available anywhere in the state by January.

The cost is $31, with $24 of that going to SPAS. The price is added to the normal fee for you tag.

You can pre-order one of the tags by going online to http://ift.tt/1dBf1Ce, or you can drop by the Spay and Neuter Clinic or the SPAS shelter on N. 31st Ave. to fill out an order form.

SPAS will also be taking tag pre-orders at Hubfest in downtown Hattiesburg on Saturday.
