State auditor: Findings in Hattiesburg audit are of great concern - WDAM-TV

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

State auditor Stacey Pickering sent a letter to Hattiesburg City Council President Kim Bradley Monday after reviewing the city's annual audit, and he said the two findings in the audit "are of great concern."

According the state auditor's office, they cannot conduct audits on municipalities and said in Monday's letter that all issues with Hattiesburg's audit must be addressed with Nicholson and Company, the auditing office that conducted the city audit for the 37 year in a row.

Pickering's letter comes just 10 days after Bradley requested the state auditor review the city's annual audit.
