Mill Creek Loop scene
The Lamar County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a well known Hattiesburg realtor.
According to Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel, Debbie Sinopoli was found dead near her vehicle on the side of Mill Creek Loop in North Lamar County around 9 a.m. Monday.
“We aren't ruling it a suicide, it could be accidental, but we aren't saying it is a suicide because the term suicide has a negative connotation,” said Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel.
According to Rigel, the department has ruled out anyone else being involved, or any foul play in the incident.
“We did have witnesses that called in and said they heard what they believe to be gunshots, and didn't see anyone else in the area at the time,” said Rigel.
Rigel added the body has been sent to Jackson for an autopsy.
