LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from Leadership Mississippi.

The Mississippi Economic Council's Leadership Mississippi program recently announced its Leadership Mississippi Class of 2015 and held its first session in Jackson on Feb. 5-6

This year, the 52-member class will visit Jackson to discuss the state's government process; Laurel, where they will discuss technology; the Mississippi Gulf Coast, which will focus on eco-tourism; Clarksdale, which will highlight the culture of the Mississippi Delta; Tupelo, where they will discuss economic development and then they will return to Jackson, where the class will hold their Graduation.

These sessions present exciting opportunities where the Leadership class can see the strategic, long-range planning and changes that are occurring in our state. Through this program, MEC continues to shrink the miles that divide us by broadening our understanding of life and leadership in communities throughout Mississippi.

Congratulations to the Leadership Mississippi Class of 2015!
