JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A Lee County Justice Court Judge will stay off the bench. The Mississippi Supreme Court upheld its decision to remove Judge Rickey Thompson for misconduct.
An order was issued back in May to get him off the bench, but Thompson kept his job during his appeal.
He actually won in the Democratic primary, but a nominee will now be selected to replace Thompson on the November ballot.
