(CNN) – A Canadian driver was forced to abandon his expensive luxury car to a giant sinkhole in Toronto, ON Wednesday morning.
The owner of the car, Mario, was in the parking lot of his work place.
He said he noticed that a section of the lot was full of water and sand, so he drove over to see what was happening and drove right into the sinkhole.
The hole is longer and wider than that car and the Jaguar immediately sank in the muddy water.
Mario had to crawl out the window in order to escape.
"I went to inspect all the mud and water in the parking lot and then all of the sudden, straight down like you pressed the elevator going to the basement," Mario said. "It just went straight down."
Police and work crews are trying to figure out what caused the hole to open up in the parking lot.
